A família la riso

We want to bring the magic that the clown transports in contexts of fragility and in the encounter with other human beings. Triggering transformative and liberating processes, the clown’s game is here to counter a logic of needs and needs, where other solutions are often ineffective.

The Clown lives and proposes a new way of looking at the world at every game and, with it, a positive and deep dive into the emotions and authenticity of being. Having as mission to provoke at least one smile a day our projects intend to reach those who need it most, bringing affection and humor to their day-to-day life!
Focusing on the senior public, the project “A Família La Riso” brings smiles to homes and institutions of the elderly in Portugal.

A Família La Riso

Bem-Me-Queres La Riso is an enthusiastic young lady. She loves to walk around the city since she has lived in the countryside from an early age. Single in choice, romantic in heart, she melts with the simplest rhyme.
Always attentive to the crops and the planting season, she loves to take care of her garden and the smell of fresh soil. You always have a piece of advice at hand, rain or shine.
The great pastime is the great trips where you visit all the capitals in search of the most fashionable discoveries. He loves to organize parties, dancing and teas.

Passionate about popular music, she plays several fashions in her concertina and maybe takes two or three steps of dancing when she’s ready.

She is a lady girl who lives life in a joyful “urgency” for knowing that time goes by and life is a thread.
She is a girl of such charm, she spends her mornings on the banks of the river. Washing children’s clothes, altar towels, engagement veils, dream pieces.
With their arms to their head, their eyes on fire, by the river humming “larai lai lai lai lai”, they are sure to find Albertina La Riso.
A lady girl of several songs and if you pass through these rivers you will certainly hear that in addition to being a laundress, she is also a nice and loving kisser. She doesn’t miss an opportunity to squeeze her lips repeatedly for the beautiful action, Muah!

José Alberto Fernando, good-looking guy, even beautiful, 1.90 when he jumps and how good he jumps. He is slightly vain, loves to look at himself in the mirror, because he is convinced that he is one of the most beautiful boys. He likes to sing and above all to dance, because he has a dream of becoming a professional dancer at S. João’s dances.

I’m Clementina, Clementina La Riso. I live at 33rd Street, and I have a very important job. I’m a janitor. I’m a kind of housewife, but from the whole building. I do a little bit of everything, I get the letters and orders, I get the fruit and the bread. I do the errands when they are sick. I have many neighbours and friends and I know everything about everyone. I water the flowers on the beds, I leave everything clean and smelling good.

I do a lot of things, taking care of a building is a lot of work, but I also have free time. I like to collect and draw. I collect keys, but also other antiques. I collect toys, stamps and buttons. I keep memories.

Família La Riso is a special family. It comes “from all over the world and from all parts” with a single goal: to visit your dear family members! To do this, they visit homes and day-care centers, brightening up the afternoon of those who receive them.
In this project, the elderly public benefits from the passage of this family of clowns, whose work is based not only on animating the evening but above all on enhancing cognitive, sensory and physical functions.
Here, we work to complement the action of health professionals and to bring other possibilities of intervention.
The target audience is people in an inpatient or semi-inpatient system, giving priority to those who are in a situation of greater isolation and vulnerability. But our action also extends to technicians, assistants and assistants, as well as family members who are occasionally in establishments.
